She replied my mail and said this:

Hi Phylis,

You can make appointment to see me to express your concern.

We only had 2 lessons and would like to know what is your idea of grading. If you feel I have been sarcastic towards you, feel free to highlight to me and let me know.

In regards to your contribution to the class, an obvious example would be helping them to build the model while they have already started. You are still on your laptop. If you feel skipping class is the only solution, I would advise you to think twice.

Will see you in class tomorrow and we can talk about it.


Then I replied her this:

I will not be free this whole week and I don’t like to confront people face to face, that’s the reason why I’m stating my stand via email as a mode of communication. My idea of grading is this, I don’t mind getting a C or something. But getting a D for my first grade is way too much, it’s as good as saying I skipped the entire third meeting. So what’s the use of contributing that amount of effort when at the end of the day, I get that ugly D or maybe lower. I will have nothing to say if I’m totally not in third meeting.

And you’re not only being sarcastic to me, you’re being sarcastic to everybody who is in your way. People like beverly, shimin and especially me. I have a question for you, am I at my laptop the whole time during model building?
I DID help my team member ok? I was at my laptop for only AWHILE to reply some important stuff but I was back to helping after that. And what was your sarcastic comment? “Phylis..why aren’t you helping your team members? why are you on your laptop when they are busy building the model? Trying to research on how to build a stronger model is it?” you don’t observe people long enough. You can’t judge something just at one glance. That’s what I’m trying to say. You can ask my group members whether I’ve contribute anything if you don’t believe.

I was opening a file given by Lynnette and you came to our group and ask ME what have I found out and you gave me that look when I told you I’m trying to load the PDF file but I’ll be reading it after it had loaded.

What’s the point of skipping class every week?
Like I’ve said, I want to learn and get a grade. So what’s the use of skipping?

I know you’ve asked the class whether I’m always like this.
Maybe I can tell you here...
I’m not like this...
I am never like this..
I don’t skip class unless I have something on or I’m sick.
