Yes ar..Mr Timothy Reynish came this morning to conduct us for a day
He's one funny cute old man I'm telling you
Why?
One example...
He was conducting First Suite in Eb and he requested to play 7 bars before the end again for second movement, which is Intermezzo
So he goes..
HIM: I would want you to play one, two, three, four, five, six, seven bars before the end again everybody
Ok...So everybody got what he meant and brought up our instrument waiting
When he was about to conduct, he stop suddenly because one of the flutist just started counting the bars
Then he said..
HIM: You should start counting the bars with me when I said "one two three...." so...lets count together..one, two, three, four, five
US: huh? five?
HIM: Ok..lets count again...one, two three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine
US: o.O?! huh? nine?
HIM: Ok..lets count again...one, two, three, four, five, six, seven...
Another example...
We were playing last year's SYF set piece, Sunrise
When the "birds" came in..he stopped and said...
HIM: It's suppose to be in a messy manner...you don't hear all the birds chirping together do you?
Everybody started laughing at his wierd funny ways...
He's great though
Everybody was grabbing the chance to take pictures with him after band prac ends
When all the way to Bedok again for dinner with my maternal family after that
It's my grandma's birthday today and I'm telling you guys..I'm going to cough like hell!!
Lobster salad..shark fin..butter crab...and many other fried stuff
Got a little headache today after all the coughing these few days and I'm sure I'm going to get abs soon..
When I saw my grandpa today, I suddenly realised he's really aging
He used to be ahead of us all the time when we are walking to some places..
Now, because of his mild stroke the other time, he can't walk as fast as he used to..
In fact, he have to use a walking stick and an umbrella whenever he walks even when he's at home
Before he has this mild stroke, all of us kept saying "Alamak..where's ah gong? oh.....in front...so far away..."
After he got this mild stroke, all of us kept saying "Alamak..where's ah gong? oh...at the back...quite far away.."
Saddening to see that....
Wel, what can I say, everybody age...
